This site is a tribute to Terri, who was born on December 17, 1959. She is much loved and will always be remembered.

Terri has been a faithful, dedicated colleague since joining Hunters Hall Infant School in September 1996. Despite being a very private person, she was someone we all got to know and enjoyed being in her company. Her work ethic and dedication to our children was exemplary and a marker for us all to aim to reach. Her teaching skills put many of us to shame. She listened to the children and prepared work for them diligently and knowledgeably. 

We cannot ignore her kind and selfless character which made her a very popular colleague. She would, once again, quietly, help any one of us in any way she could, and preferred to do so without us knowing. She would surreptitiously guide newly qualified or staff inexperienced in a year group or task, through their task or job, without asking for praise or thanks. When she was diagnosed with cancer, she insisted in continuing to work and being useful. At no time did she want to be defined by her illness and in her final 19 months with us, she rose from being a valued, talented colleague to an inspiration. 

Terri was never dying of cancer; she was constantly demonstrating how to live with cancer. She was incredibly private but felt the need to own her diagnosis before any gossip mongering beat her to it; so, she bravely stood in front of us at briefing and told us. It was clear we were not to feel sorry for her or treat her differently. She was still Terri and still quietly demonstrating how to deal with one of life's greatest blows. She made it clear that she did not want floral tributes but requested donations to St Francis Hospice, where she died peacefully on Tuesday 9th February 2021.
